Thank you for your interest in the +1 Global Fund—a nomination-based grantmaking program created by The Roddenberry Foundation (TRF) and its funding partners to accelerate progress towards solving pressing societal problems. There are multiple +1 Global Funds, each focused on a specific problem and/or region. Each Fund consists of multiple Rounds, each approximately 12 weeks long, during which social change leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators nominate their peers for +1 Global Fund support. Each round proceeds as follows:

  1. Network Partners are secured for each round, to recommend Nominators.
  2. Nominators complete a simple form to nominate organizations—Nominees—who are targeting the specific +1 Global Fund’s problem and/or region of focus.
  3. Nominees submit a brief application and are reviewed and vetted by TRF and its partners.
  4. Selected Nominees—Awardees—receive a grant and non-financial support.
  5. The Nominator whose Nominee is selected for funding receives an honorarium as an individual. This honorarium is for recognizing their contribution of referring a Nominee and is not considered a grant award.

The Rules governing each +1 Global Fund ("RULES") are stated here.
